You know when you close your eyes and nothing matters in the world besides the image that’s in your head at that very moment? It’s the one place that you wish you could run away to and just let go of everything and be free of stress? Imagine being able to get on a plane or a bus or train or even your own car and travel to that destination of paradise. When you look up the definition of vacation they define it as Leisure time away from work, devoted to rest or pleasure . When I think of taking a vacation and traveling somewhere I think of memories, I think of experiences, a lot of knowledge gained and journey that I’m about to embark on. Vacations are supposed to be a time for yourself to relax and enjoy, supposed to be FUN exciting something new, something special, something you can look back on years from now and dream about going back and renewing that old feeling. Can you imagine having your dreams come to reality, the places you wish you go the things you dream of seeing with your own two eyes? How awesome would it be to be able to actually feel what you see to grasp onto it and instead of virtually seeing, it being able to physically experience it? With only a click away you can. You can create your own vacation; your own memories choose a destination when and where, with whom and for however long you wish. Imagine it in your mind, see it on paper with your eyes, and grasp it when it becomes in reality in your own hands.

Lets cross that state line!
As a little girl growing up I always dreamt about jumping in a car with a group of friends jamming out to our favorite songs, and driving into the sunset. Born and raised in Florida has been an adventure to say the least, but I think its time to spread my wings and see what else is out there. I think it would be a journey to start out in Florida and cross the United States . All the way from Florida to New York City , Chicago , to Texas , all the way to Nevada then head to California . It would be an experience of a lifetime. All the different sites wed see throughout our travels, the beautiful beaches, the tallest buildings in the world. Venturing through the city to hit the country. I want to be able to take every little piece of knowledge I already have and expand it throughout the states we visit. Take In each inch of everything from what we smell, taste, see and even breathe in our travels. I want it to be random and fun, exciting and spontaneous. Camp out in the car, stay in a ridiculously expensive hotel suite, find someone’s relative in a random state and stay with them for a night, sleepover in a bed and breakfast. Something we can look back at and just laugh and remember every memory. I want to travel and embrace anything and everything and come back someone more knowledgeable and content with life. I think that traveling and taking fun trips with friends or family is a great way to just live life and experience new adventures and to really find you’re self.

My dream has always been to travel the world, to see cultures of all sorts; diverse animals, and countries that’ll take my breath away. I took a family vacation to Aruba this past December with my best friend. The minute I got off the plan I already felt the temperature rising. We went from an average of 70 degree weather from South Florida straight to 99 degree weather. The family I traveled with has a time share in one of the Renaissance Time Share Resorts, which is where we stayed on our trip. The view was impeccable! I saw Iguanas crawling in all areas of the resort, as well as the island. The beaches were crystal clear and probably the most beautiful bodies of water I have ever laid eyes on. Our first accomplishment of our travels was to hit the pool and drink something tropical, just to get into the swing of things. It was the first night in another country in another world and we weren’t accustom to the money, the language, or even the road signs for that matter. I loved being in another country not knowing anything, because that gave us the chance to gain knowledge, and a whole lot of it at that. I was extremely fascinated with the art that surrounded the island and the indescribable buildings that with just one glance you can tell the history that lies behind them. Anything we purchased in Aruba was twice as expensive then in American money. The trip was to last a week, and in a week’s time we had plenty to cover; several Dutch restaurants (Aruba is owned by the Netherlands), private beaches that were part of the resorts accommodations, the casinos, and the festive shops and kiosks they have throughout the streets. I’d have to say the week we decided to go couldn’t have been any more perfect. It was the week of the New Year, and little did I know what was in store for us. On the island the Dutch people closed up shop and stopped all of traffic for the most miraculous firework show I’ve ever witnessed with my two eyes. I’ve never inhaled more smoke, and seen sparks of fire. Their tradition was somewhat of the same as back home in America but they make it an all day extravaganza for the entire town to be a part of. All the colors in the fireworks dazzled me and I felt like I was in a fairy tale. I loved being thousands of miles away and being so far from my safety zone. The scenery of every angle on the island was out of this world amazing. I can’t wait to go back and see sights I didn’t get to on this trip. Though It was pretty expensive I would definitely go back. It was an experience of a lifetime.
